As a retired police officer, I’ve fought crime for over two decades. Turlock’s crime rates are unacceptably high, and our level of theft is inexcusable.
I know what it takes to make our city safe, which requires us to be proactive in our handling of crime, not reactive.
I’ve made it a priority to tackle our city’s issues surrounding homelessness. We’ve increased our enforcement of street crimes by 1,600% in just 18 months, but there’s still more to accomplish.
I’ve also been committed to fighting for financial discipline at City Hall.
While serving on the Council, I voted to:
- Pay off $5.4 million in debt that saved taxpayers $6 million
- Invest in our vital public safety services by adding K9 and “street crimes” units
- Help 45 small businesses open their doors sooner through a partnership program with City Hall.
I’m proud of my record, but there’s much more work to do.
